Grain is an American design practice dedicated to social and environmental responsibility. Founded in 2008, the work of partners Chelsea and James Minola unites current manufacturing technologies and age-old craft techniques. Goods are produced in small batch runs in their Bainbridge Island, WA studio or through special collaborations with expert artisans in the US and abroad.
The Shape Soap in Bump, designed in collaboration with Grain, is a sculptural soap that turns your daily routine into an artful experience. Distinct shapes from Grain’s designs have been saponified for your hygienic needs and viewing pleasure. While these soaps are especially pretty, they’re made to lather up with. Whether you choose to use them, or just admire them, is entirely up to you.
